Türkiye’s National Security Council, led by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has called for an end to the escalating conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, urging all parties to return to the negotiating table. The council highlighted the risk of worsening regional instability and potential global repercussions if hostilities continue. Emphasizing the necessity of diplomatic efforts, the council warned against further escalation.
During its recent meeting, the council also assessed developments across the Middle East and beyond, including Syria, Iraq, Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, and the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. Türkiye reiterated its commitment to Syria’s territorial integrity and called for increased stability in Iraq.
Addressing the situations in Gaza and Lebanon, the council appealed for international intervention to curb ongoing violence and bolster regional stability. Additionally, it advocated for restraint and a cease-fire in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, expressing concern over attacks that threaten civilian infrastructure.
Regarding Yemen, the council noted that rising tensions are heightening security risks across the region, underscoring the need for a restoration of calm. Türkiye’s National Security Council’s broad review and recommendations reflect its ongoing commitment to fostering stability and peace in the region.
