Nissan and LiCAP Strengthen Alliance to Accelerate Dry Electrode Technology for All-Solid-State Batteries

Date:

SACRAMENTO, Calif., Aug. 19, 2025—Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., an established global automotive manufacturer, and LiCAP Technologies, Inc., a U.S.-based innovator in sustainable electrode production, today announced a formal strategic partnership to advance dry cathode electrode processes for all-solid-state battery (ASSB) applications.

This collaboration builds upon earlier joint development efforts and is centered on scaling LiCAP’s Activated Dry Electrode® technology. The solvent-free process offers considerable benefits over traditional methods, including improved production efficiency, cost reduction, and a reduced environmental footprint.

The partnership underscores Nissan’s Ambition 2030 vision, which prioritizes sustainable energy solutions and the deployment of next-generation electric vehicle platforms.

“We are proud to reinforce our partnership with Nissan to deliver electrode innovations that are indispensable to the evolution of EV technology,” said Dr. Linda Zhong, CEO of LiCAP Technologies.
