2025 Harley-Davidson Softail: Classic Soul, Modern Power

Date:

Harley-Davidson continues its legacy in 2025 with the updated Softail range—staying true to its iconic style while embracing the modern age. With timeless design and roaring character, the Softail lineup now packs more power, refined handling, and rider-focused tech without losing the heritage that defines the brand.
All six Softail models are powered by the upgraded Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine, delivering a commanding 85kW and 173Nm of torque. Harley’s signature rumble remains untouched, but beneath the chrome and steel, meaningful upgrades set this year’s bikes apart.
Revised cylinder heads improve heat management, while a new electronic control unit introduces riding modes, cornering ABS, and traction control, making these cruisers more adaptable to diverse riding conditions—including wet roads.
The Softail isn’t just about brute force—it’s about comfort and presence. The Low Rider S, priced from $34,750 drive-away, stands out with its powerful stance, cushy seat, and relaxed ergonomics that make long rides a joy—even for riders new to heavy cruisers.
While Harley-Davidson may cater to a more mature audience, the company isn’t stuck in the past. With younger riders entering the scene via scooters and sports bikes, Harley positions itself as the next aspirational step. As CCO Luke Mansfield puts it, “You age into a Harley-Davidson, not out of one.”
The Softail offers more than nostalgia—it’s a refined, responsive machine that blends classic cruiser attitude with contemporary tech, ensuring Harley will be ready when the next generation is.
