The Turkish defense sector has marked a significant achievement with five of its companies making it to the 2026 global Top 100 defense companies ranking. This accomplishment underscores Türkiye’s expanding capabilities in defense manufacturing and exports. Notably, ASELSAN leads the Turkish contingent, advancing to the 40th position from 43rd the previous year. Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) follows closely at 48th, while ARCA Defense makes a notable entry into the ranking at 53rd place.
Roketsan also experienced a positive shift, rising to 64th from 71st, and MKE secured the 81st spot. Collectively, these five companies contributed approximately $14.9 billion in defense revenue in 2025, showcasing the substantial economic impact of Türkiye’s defense industry. ASELSAN alone reported $4.46 billion in defense-related income, with TAI generating $3.65 billion, ARCA Defense earning $3 billion, Roketsan with $2.37 billion, and MKE bringing in $1.42 billion.
The surge in revenue and rankings reflects the growing international demand for Turkish defense products. Türkiye’s defense industry has shown remarkable expansion in several areas, including military electronics, aerospace, missile systems, and munitions. This diversification into advanced technologies has been a key driver of the industry’s global competitiveness.
The latest rankings are a testament to Türkiye’s increasing influence in the global defense market. The country’s ability to innovate and export a wide array of defense systems is becoming increasingly recognized worldwide. As Turkish defense companies continue to ascend the ranks, they are strengthening Türkiye’s position as a formidable player in the defense sector.
