Circularo is reaffirming its commitment to nurturing the UAE’s future cybersecurity specialists by returning as a Gold Sponsor for the 2026 School of Cyber Defence competition. This student-centered initiative, organized by TechFirm Technology LLC and supported by the Dubai Electronic Security Center (DESC), invites university students to engage in realistic cybersecurity scenarios that mimic practical security operations. The competition, culminating on September 18, 2026, at GISEC Global in Dubai, will see five finalist teams present and defend their solutions before a panel of cybersecurity experts.
Participants will embark on their journey through an online qualification round, with successful teams advancing to tackle a case study where they must assess a security issue and formulate a response. The top five teams, after an expert review, will receive mentorship to prepare for the final showdown. This year’s program includes vital cybersecurity areas such as network protection, threat management, system security, incident response, and the integration of artificial intelligence and other cutting-edge technologies.
Circularo’s sponsorship aims to provide students with hands-on experience that complements their academic learning, reinforcing their industry readiness. The company plans to enhance this learning opportunity through direct classroom engagement and interaction with the participants. Circularo, established in 2013, specializes in digital trust and document workflow solutions, including electronic signing and secure digital transactions, serving a diverse clientele that spans government entities, businesses, and institutions in the Middle East and internationally.
The inaugural School of Cyber Defence competition during GISEC Global 2025 set a strong foundation, attracting over 300 applications from UAE universities and involving 130 students in the qualification rounds. Open to students aged 17 and above, the competition allows teams of up to five members, with no prior competition experience necessary. A prize pool exceeding AED 20,000 awaits the winners.
