‘Deepest Condolences’: Benjamin Netanyahu Reaches Out to Modi After Red Fort Blast

Date:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reached out to his “dear friend” Prime Minister Narendra Modi with “deepest condolences” after a tragic blast near Delhi’s Red Fort killed eight people. The message from Netanyahu and his wife, Sara, was one of personal sorrow and national solidarity.
“Sara and I, and the people of Israel, send our deepest condolences to the families of the victims,” the statement read. Netanyahu offered a firm pledge of support, telling Modi and the Indian people, “Israel stands strong with you in sorrow and in strength in this time.”
The Israeli leader condemned the attack but said the perpetrators would fail in their ultimate goal. “Terror may strike our cities, but it will never shake our souls,” he declared. He celebrated the “unyielding spirit” of India and Israel, calling them “ancient civilisations” united by shared values.
The blast occurred on Monday evening on Subhash Marg. A Hyundai i20 car exploded, damaging nearby vehicles and causing multiple casualties. The incident has sparked a full-scale terror investigation.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has been tasked with the probe. The agency has formed a “dedicated and comprehensive” team to investigate the “terrorist attack,” which top sources have linked to a Jaish-e-Mohammad module. The NIA is coordinating with other security units to uncover the full network.
